About

My name is Martin Aufinger, I am a visual effects artist/CG Supervisor currently living in Vienna, Austria.

I have over 15 years experience in high-end visual effects and had the pleasure to work with some of the biggest companies, directors, designer and architects around the world.

Highlights include being involved in creating the title sequence for Skyfall and Spectre, James Bond’s 23rd and 24th adventure, being nominated for a VES award for my work on a Pepsi commercial or supervising FX on a Coca Cola superbowl commercial. I have also had the pleasure to work with Asif Khan, one of Britains leading architects, on a pavilion at the Sochi Winter Olympics and on a huge 360 degree, 37000 pixel wide animated landscape for the UK pavilion at the 2018 World Expo in Kazakhstan.

More recently, I have worked on sequences for the Netflix show ‘The Witcher’ and the Amazon show ‘The Boys’.

Apart from working with directors to help them realise their vision, I have also had the chance to direct the 2018 teaser for a big international awards ceremony, ‘The Game Awards‘.

During my time in London, I have enjoyed working for some of the top high-end visual effects companies such as Framestore, Electric Theatre Collective and Realise Studios and have continued my cooperations with those places after my return to Austria. I have, however, also enjoyed setting up a small studio in Austria over the last few years and working independently with clients, designers and architects.

My specialities lie in look-development, fx-animation, lighting and rendering as well as leading teams and supervising projects.
